A Special Showing of Kern Valley Students’ Creations
The Art Room in the Museum will be graced with a special showing of
the beautiful art produced by the fourth, fifth, and seventh grade students from the Kern Union School District.
Scott Alten, the art teacher at both Wallace Elementary School and
Kernville Elementary School, will be bringing his students’ art for this special showing. If you have visited the encampment at Whiskey Flat Days or History Day at the museum, you know Scott as the local historical blacksmith. When not pounding iron, he teaches both physical education and art at these local schools.
We will be enjoying, during the entire month of May, the watercolors and
drawings of many of Scott’s students. Some of these works have already won competitions, so they should be great. You don’t want to miss is special show.
